Jim Costa’s campaign announced today that Congressman Adam Schiff, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, has thrown his support behind Costa’s re-election to the United States Congress.

Congressman Schiff said: “Jim Costa has the courage to take on the challenges facing our nation and democracy. Jim will stand up to the Trump Administration, demand accountability and ensure we protect the integrity of our elections. Jim’s commitment and strong record of standing up for our shared American values makes him the best choice to continue representing the people of the Central Valley, and I'm pleased to give him my full endorsement.”

Schiff has represented California’s 28^th District since 2001 and became Chair of the House Intelligence Committee in 2019. On the Intelligence Committee, Schiff has worked diligently to investigate President Donald Trump's connections to Russia and their role in the 2016 presidential election.

Schiff’s endorsement is the latest in a wave of support from Democratic champions, including California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, US Senators Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, and California Governor Gavin Newsom. Nearly all have extolled Costa’s track record of standing up for the rights of immigrants, women, the LGBTQ community and other historically marginalized groups, making it clear that Costa is the clear, Democratic choice for Congress.
