From the Valley. For the Valley.
Let me thank the voters of the 16th Congressional District. I have always put my trust and faith in you and am honored to represent you in Congress. I’d also like to congratulate my opponent and his family on a hard-fought campaign.
We face big challenges that can only be tackled by working together. No matter whom you voted for, the majority of the people in my district and nationwide want Congress to compromise on the major issues affecting our nation, beginning with getting our fiscal house in order. There is too much at stake to let partisan rhetoric overcome the will to meet the needs of our country.
We must continue working together to invest in our state’s water systems and a 21st century transportation system that will create jobs in our region. Let’s come together to build a medical school in this Valley and improve education for our children. Let’s pass a Farm Bill to keep Valley Agriculture strong and moving our economy forward.
Our challenges are great but so is our opportunity to build a stronger future. Remember, the common bonds we share as Americans are far stronger than any of our differences.
Jim Costa's family has farmed the Valley for over 110 years.
He grew up here and learned our shared Valley values:
Jim went to Congress for one reason:
To fight for the people of our Valley.
And that's what he's doing.
